We had an animal emergency today. PSA: snow globes contain antifreeze in the amounts highly toxic to cats. If for example, the cat breaks a snow globe, and the liquid splashes on their paw, and they lick it, it’s enough to kill them. Ethylene glycol causes irreversible renal failure.
It’s 10:34 pm as I type this, and we spent the last 5 or 6 hours, I don’t even know, at the animal ER.
The patient’s renal reading are seemingly normal, since she probably did not get any liquid into her, but we are not out of the woods yet. We will know more in the next 24-48 hours. We are exhausted and are not in any shape to finish and proofread the scene for tomorrow. We are bumping the Friday post to next week.
Sorry, guys. We need the weekend to come back to life. We will make it up to you next week.
